| IMPORTANT NOTE: Please drive carefully! As you approach Westbrooke Barns after leaving the A47, the roads are very narrow, often with grass growing up the middle - you might think you are driving down a lane into a field! There are blind bends with few passing places, so we urge you to drive very slowly and take great care with directions. From the North and West (A17 and/or A47)
From Kings Lynn, travel East on the A47.
After 16 miles you will pass the town of Swaffham on the by-pass. This dual-carriageway ends at a roundabout with services and a MacDonald’s on the left.
Continue on the A47 for another 2 miles, until you reach a turning right for Necton – turn into this village.
As you pass a garden centre, take the first turning on the left into St Andrews Lane. After about half a mile, the road forks - take the left - Ivy Todd Road.
Continue on the only road through this small village (Ivy Todd).
After ¾ mile, the road bends to the right, and then just as it bends back to the left there is a turning on the right. Turn into this road.
Westbrooke Barns are just a little further along on the right hand side. Please drive past the first gate, enter through the second gate, and please close the gate behind you.
From the South and West (A14 and/or A11)
Travel to Barton Mills on the A11.
At the major roundabout where the dual carriageway ends, take the A1065 to Swaffham.
When you arrive in Swaffham, follow local signs for the A47 to Norwich.
Continue east on the A47 for 2 miles, you will reach a turning right for Necton – turn into this village.

From the East (A47 from Norwich)
Travel towards Swaffham on the A47.
You will bypass Dereham, then five miles later travel through Great Fransham.
About two miles after Fransham, the road will straighten and go slightly downhill, which is the approach to Necton.
At the end of this straight, you will reach a turning left signposted for Necton – turn into this village.
As you pass a garden centre, take the first turning on the left into St Andrews Lane. After about half a mile, the road forks - take the left - Ivy Todd Road.
Continue on the only road through this small village (Ivy Todd).
